Software as a Service (SaaS)

TEAM was one of the first software providers in the industry to offer its solutions over the Internet.  By utilizing TEAM’s products through its Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, you eliminate the need to purchase and maintain costly servers.  Your staff also enjoys the convenience of working from anywhere with an Internet connection.  TEAM’s Saas platform allows you to focus on your core business while we maintain and maximize your technology infrastructure.

Software as a Service Basics:

• TEAM provides and maintains all servers, phone lines and other hardware needed to host your TEAM software applications
• This equipment is configured and maintained by TEAM engineers and resides in a secure data center
• All you need is a computer with an Internet connection – work from anywhere
• TEAM engineers apply all program updates, Microsoft® updates, virus protection and data back-ups
• As your company grows, our solution grows with you without the need to purchase additional hardware or IT services

About our data center:

To support our needs and the needs of our customers, TEAM selected CoSentry, a premier provider of secure data centers in the Midwest since 2001.  In 2010, we had a unique opportunity with CoSentry to lease space in a brand new data center, called the Midlands Data Center, which is unmatched regionally in its power, security, redundancy and staff support.

The Midlands Data Center is a 50,000 square foot Tier IV facility that is designed to withstand F5 tornado winds, major power interruptions and carrier outages making it one of only a few “six nines” (99.9999% availability) facilities in North America. A “six nines” facility means that the data center is designed to encounter less than 6 seconds of downtime per year.  In addition, the new center, now in operation, is considered a green data center and was designed to meet LEED Silver Certification criteria. The building includes several energy saving and efficiency features that lower the impact to the local environment.

CoSentry has several data centers throughout the Midwest.  TEAM has also leased space at a location in Bellevue, Nebraska to serve as a back-up site.  Therefore, if the primary site experienced a catastrophic disaster, TEAM could easily redirect users to the back-up site.  This gives customers added redundancy beyond the already outstanding redundancy features of the Midlands Data Center.

Within the data center, TEAM engineers have built the following infrastructure:

• Active/Passive SQL Servers for redundancy
• On all servers: redundant network connections, power supplies & disk drives
• Redundant network switches, firewalls & web servers
• High performance storage system
• Database back-ups performed every hour
• Back-up taken off-site to Disaster Recovery facility daily
• Multiple application servers with load balancing technology
• Five TeamTime servers with Eight T1 lines (192 lines total)
• Servers are completely redundant, as well as T1 lines
• T1 lines load balanced
