
TEAM is very proud to be an employee owned company. In 2007, TEAM employees purchased their first group of company shares from an original owner. In May of 2008, the original owners sold their remaining shares to the employees.
Frank Labedz, TEAM’s Founder and President says,
“When evaluating our options for succession planning, an Employee Stock Ownership plan quickly rose to the top because of the reward it offers to employees. TEAM’s success and longevity is attributed to the collective efforts of each and every staff member; therefore, we felt very strongly that the company should remain in the hands of the people who continue to make it successful: the employees.”
Because each employee has a stake in the company, TEAM’s staff is extremely motivated to serve its customers. Each month, employee owners come together to discuss company strategy, review goals and key performance metrics. In addition, the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Education Committee conducts periodic team building and plan education sessions.
During Employee Ownership month (October), our staff not only has fun with events like a chili cook-off, but also serves its community with an annual food drive for the local Food Bank. Last year, TEAM donated almost one ton of food through its drive.
